WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 2025 Big Ten Softball All-Big Ten teams were announced by the conference office Friday morning, with Moriah Polar earning her first All-Big Ten team honor on the Second Team, while Kendall Klochack was tabbed a Sportsmanship honoree.
Polar leads the Boilermaker offense with a .444 batting average and 68 hits in the 2025 season. She currently ranks 6th in the Big Ten in batting average and is ranked 24th nationally in the category. For stolen bases, Polar's 30 are tied for 19th in the nation, and 2nd in the Big Ten.
Polar eclipse 100 career-hits this season with 19 multi-hit games, three of which she went 4-for-4. On the other side of the ball, Polar holds a team-leading .981 fielding percentage with 102 putouts, two assists, and just two errors over the Boilermakers' 52 games so far.
Polar was named Softball America's No. 18 outfielder in the nation heading into the month of May. She also received the honor heading into April, being named the No. 16 outfielder.
In addition to Polar's All-Big Ten honor, Kendall Klochack was named a Sportsmanship Award honoree. Recipients have demonstrated sportsmanship, fair behavior, and good citizenship both on the field and off. Students must also be in good academic standing.
