WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field's distance group will travel to the Raleigh Relays March 27-28 hosted by NC State.
Men's Notes
• Douglas Buckeridge opened the 2025 outdoor season with the fifth-fastest 1500m time in program history (3:45.88) to finish fifth at the USF Alumni Invitational.
• Caleb Williams is coming off a personal-best 3:47.78 in the 1500m that placed seventh in Tampa and fell less than one second shy of entering Purdue's top 10. He is set for the 3000m steeplechase in Raleigh – an event he ranks fifth in program history (8:49.99).
• Kiefer Bell (3:48.60), Nerius White (3:55.96) and Jason Polydoris (3:56.78) all had personal best performances in the 1500m to open the outdoor season.
Women's Notes
• Payne Turney improved her 1500m program ranking to No. 4 with a personal-best 4:21.66 that finished second at USF. She is set for the 5000m in Raleigh and if she runs her indoor personal best (16:16.95) it would be an outdoor school record.
• Emma Squires is set for her first 3000m steeplechase of the season after she qualified for the NCAA East First Round in the event last season. She entered the season No. 7 in program history (10:25.81) in the event.
• Lauren Pegher will run the 1500m in Raleigh after she opened her collegiate outdoor career in 4:31.29. It was the fifth-fastest time by a Boilermaker freshman since 2010.
