CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Two pool records, five 1-2 finishes or better and 10 event victories propelled Purdue Women's Swimming & Diving to a 171-129 dual meet victory at Illinois on Saturday.

The Boilermakers went 3-0 in duals this weekend after also sweeping Friday's triple dual at home vs. Kentucky and Notre Dame. Purdue is 5-0 in duals this season and 13-2 dating back to the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

Abby Marcukaitis swept the backstroke events while setting a facility record at the Illini's ARC pool in the 100 back (54.07). She won three individual events this weekend and now leads the team with eight such victories this season.

On her 20th birthday, Caitlin Hurley was victorious in the 500 freestyle and helped Purdue win the 400 free relay to close the meet, teaming up with Lara Phipps, Adele Sands and Maggie Love. The Boilermakers' winning time of 3:21.97 was another pool record.

Along with the backstroke races, Purdue also swept the butterfly, springboard diving and distance freestyle events. The Boilermakers had at least the top two finishers in five of those eight events, going 1-2-3 in both backstroke races.

Campbell Scofield won the 200 fly for the second day in a row, leading a 1-2-3 finish for Purdue. Daryn Wright's victory in 1-meter diving was her second event win of the weekend and sixth of the season, tops among the divers.

Sophie McAfee (3-meter diving), Reagan Mattice (1000 free), Keira Kask (100 fly) and Masy Folcik (200 breast) were also victorious for the Boilermakers.

Purdue is back in action the weekend of Jan. 24-25 for its annual rivalry dual vs. Indiana. Platform diving is set for Friday at 5:30 p.m. and the remainder of the dual is Saturday at 10 a.m. The Senior Day ceremony is Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
