NAPLES, Fla. – The Purdue men's golf team moved up one spot after posting the second-best round of the day at the elite Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines Golf Club.
The Boilermakers totaled a 3-over par 291 for a two-day total of 4-over par 580, good for second place out of eight teams, 11 shots behind leader Florida. Wake Forest is third at 9-over par 585, while Miami (Ohio) and Georgia Tech are tied for fourth at 13-over par 589.
Three Boilermakers are in the top 10, all in an eighth-place tie at even-par 144. Herman Sekne (70-74), Nels Surtani (74-70) and Sam Easterbrook (72-72) are all knotted up in eighth place, five shots behind a pair of leaders.
Nick Dentino is 19th at 4-over par 148 (73-75), while Peyton Snoeberger is tied for 34th at 11-over par 155 (78-77). Playing as an individual, Kent Hsiao is tied for 12th at 2-over par 146 (73-73).
The final round will begin at 8:45 a.m. ET as the Boilermakers will be paired with the leaders, Florida.
