WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 48 Purdue women's tennis team fell to the No. 29 Wisconsin Badgers 4-0 on Saturday.
Once the doubles point was clinched for the Badgers, Carmen Gallardo Guevara/Tara Katarina Milic were forced to stop their battle against Maria Sholokhova/Alina Mukhortova at No. 1. The doubles match was deemed unfinished at 5-5.
At No. 1, Carmen Gallardo Guevara battled No. 69 Maria Sholokhova, falling after a tiebreak set. When the match was called for Wisconsin, two Boilermakers were in their third sets. At No. 4, Tara Katarina Milic was leading Ariel Johnson in the third set 3-2. At No. 3, Juana Larranaga in the first game of the third set when the match ended. Kennedy Gibbs was neck and neck with Taylor Cataldi at No. 2, going unfinished at 5-5.
