WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After a short hiatus, the Purdue Men's Tennis team is back in action this weekend against DePaul and Cleveland State.

The Boilermakers come into the weekend off a 4-3 victory over the Brown Bears on February 11. All four of Purdue's points came in singles play as three freshmen swept their matches on the weekend.

Stefan Simeunovic and Soham Purohit won in straight sets allowing no more than three games in any set. All three freshmen enter March with a winning record in singles with Simeunovic owning the best record at 6-3. Henrik Villanger is also starting to flash at positions 5 and 6 achieving a 3-1 record to start the spring.

The bottom of the singles order has seen the most success for Purdue as the team is 5-4 at No. 6

SCOUTING DEPAUL
The DePaul Blue Demons are currently 5-5 after a 5-2 win over Navy on Sunday, February 25. The Blue Demons defeated the Midshipmen after jumping out to a 5-0 lead thanks to four straight-set wins in singles action.

Doubles team Leon Huck/Sven Moser enter the dual with an undefeated record this spring.

DePaul has already faced a pair of Big Ten opponents this season after dropping duals to then-No. 14 Michigan and Wisconsin. Purdue owns the lead in the all-time series against DePaul at 13-6. The Blue Demons have won two of the last three meetings, most recently in a 5-2 win in West Lafayette last season.
