Purdue Drops Road Match at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Purdue was toppled 7-0 by Yale in a road loss Sunday.

The doubles No. 3 team of Mujtaba Ali-Khan/Alexander Ekstrand had their opponents on the ropes with a 4-3 lead before Yale took the doubles point. No. 39 Theo Dean/Aidan Reilly set the pace as the Bulldogs went up with a 6-4 win and another 6-1 decision at No. 2.

With a pair of Top 100 singles players, Yale controlled the top-position matches while sweeping the bottom of the Purdue order.

Stefan Simeunovic held strong in his first career match against a ranked opponent. The freshman swept the first set against No. 100 Vignesh Gogineni before falling in a third-set tiebreaker.
