Purdue Set to Battle Tulsa in Road Match

The Purdue women's tennis team will continue their campaign on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m. in Tulsa, Okla. The Boilermakers are set to take on the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team will continue their campaign on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m. in Tulsa, Okla. The Boilermakers are set to take on the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
 
Purdue hits the road again after the ITA Kickoff Weekend where the team went 1-1. No. 113 Carmen Gallardo Guevara and Kennedy Gibbs remain undefeated in singles play this season, both going 5-0. After last weekend, the Boilermakers are now 4-1, falling to Arkansas and defeating Utah. Gibbs clinched the win for Purdue against Utah after defeating Yuhan Liu at No. 3
 
The University of Tulsa has gone 5-2 so far this campaign, claiming victories over Omaha, Louisiana Tech, Wyoming, Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas. The team has lost the last two matches, falling to Memphis and Ole Miss. The Golden Hurricane has one ranked player, Oleksandra Nahurska, standing at No. 125. In singles play, the fifth-year senior went 9-3 this fall. Tulsa's roster returns five players and welcomes four newcomers.
