Boilermaker Representatives Head to Minneapolis for Big Ten Media Day

The 2023 Big Ten Media Day heads to Minneapolis as the Boilermakers will take part in the annual festivities.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 2023 Big Ten Media Day heads to Minneapolis for the second straight year as members of the Purdue men's basketball team will take part in the annual festivities on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Target Center.

Head coach Matt Painter and seniors Zach Edey, Mason Gillis and Ethan Morton will represent Purdue at the event, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Media from FOX, CBS, ESPN, BTN and SiriusXM Radio, as well as local and national print media, will descend on the event to talk to some of the nation's top players and coaches.

The Big Ten Network and Fox Sports App will air Coach Painter's press conference at 10:50 a.m. ET, and the Boilermakers will be guests on the BTN studio set at 2:10 p.m. ET. The network will produce over five hours of live programming during Thursday's festivities.

The pair will also be on SIRIUS / XM at 11:20 AM ET (Players) and 2:20 PM ET (Painter).

Fans can join the conversation using the hashtag #B1GMediaDay and Boilermaker fans are encouraged to follow the official Purdue accounts on Twitter and Instagram (@BoilerBall).

The first chance to see the Boilermakers in action is at Purdue's annual fan day Saturday, Oct. 21, in Mackey Arena. Fans can receive autographs and get pictures with their favorite Boilermakers beginning at 11:45 a.m. ET, and then are invited to stay and watch Purdue's first intrasquad scrimmage of the season, following the autograph session.

This will be the first opportunity to see the Boilermakers in action in Mackey Arena before the exhibition game against Grace College on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

The 2023-24 Purdue men's basketball season is presented by Purdue Global, Purdue University's online educational solution for working adults.

Season tickets are sold out this season, but single-game tickets will go on sale Oct. 17, to varying levels on John Purdue Club members, then will go on sale to the general public Oct. 20.

The Boilermakers begin the regular season Nov. 6, in Mackey Arena against Samford. Purdue returns six of its top seven scorers from last year's team that went 29-6 and won the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles. Purdue has been ranked in the top five in all the "way-too-early" top-25 polls.
