WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Middle blocker Hannah Clayton will continue her volleyball career in France after signing with the country's top division, VBC Chamalières.

"Pursuing a pro career has always been a dream of mine," said Clayton. "I've been blessed to play for supportive coaches throughout the entirety of my collegiate career, all of whom have played a part in inspiring and pushing me to be the player and person I am today. My fifth-year experience at Purdue has allowed me to further develop my game while opening more doors at the professional level. I'm so incredibly thankful for the way my Purdue teammates and staff have invested in me this year – they have been so intentional about devoting the time, effort, and resources to propel me towards my goals."

Clayton transferred to Purdue from Iowa for her fifth year, seeing action in all but one match. Playing at the top of her game in 2022, the Bloomington, Illinois native registered a career-high-tying nine total blocks at Minnesota (10/22), which included three block solos, a career-best. Clayton posted more blocks during her fifth year than any previous season at Iowa, recording 98 total blocks over the 31 matches. Offensively, Clayton registered one error or fewer in 14 matches and hit .400 % or higher on six occasions, including three matches with a .500 attack % or better.

Clayton joins fellow alums Emma Ellis and Grace Cleveland who have announced a professional contract signing since April. Other alums currently playing professionally include Annie Drews, Danielle Cuttino and Ashley Evans.
