WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Matt Painter and the Purdue men's basketball program has announced plans for an Alumni Game, intrasquad scrimmage and trip to Europe, all of which will take place in August.

"We look forward to the Alumni Game every time we have it and hope to welcome back so many great representatives of Purdue Basketball," head coach Matt Painter said. "I know our fans are excited to see some of their favorite Boilermakers back in Mackey Arena wearing the Black and Gold. It's a great way to honor the tradition and history of Purdue Basketball."

The fifth edition of the highly-popular Alumni Game will take place in Mackey Arena on Saturday, Aug. 5, beginning at 11 a.m. ET, and will be followed by an intrasquad scrimmage between the current Boilermakers – Purdue's 10th and final full practice before departing for an 11-day European trip.

This will be the fifth time the Alumni Game has been held and in all of the previous four events, approximately 50 former Boilermakers and coaches returned for the weekend. Players and coaches will be announced in the upcoming weeks prior to the Alumni Game.

In addition, the event will be used to honor former head coach Gene Keady and his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Induction ceremonies in Springfield, Massachusetts, will take place Aug. 12.

Tickets for the Alumni Game and scrimmage will go on sale June 20, and will range from $5 to $15.

The Boilermakers will head to Europe on Aug. 7, flying from Chicago to Munich, Germany, and will spend 11 days playing four games, while visiting Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovakia. Details and schedules will be announced at a later date. NCAA regulations allow teams 10 practices before taking an International trip and the scrimmage on Aug. 5, will be the 10th and final practice for the Europe trip.
