WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. After a memorable solo campaign in West Lafayette, Purdue women's basketball guard Lasha Petree has signed a training camp contract with the Connecticut Sun.

Petree paced Purdue in scoring this season with 14.7 points per game, while shooting 42.7% from the field. The Detroit native reached double figures in 22 of 30 games played with nine games of 20 points or more.

Petree dropped a season-high 31 points in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge victory over Syracuse. Late in the season, the fifth-year senior dropped 20 points in three straight games, becoming the first Boilermaker to do so since the 2019-20 season. Petree was tabbed the No. 9 transfer by ESPNW.

The Boilermakers went 19-11 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017.

The Connecticut Sun are led by Purdue alumna and national champion Stephanie White, who returns to the WNBA sidelines for the first time since the 2016 season when she led the Indiana Fever.
