WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team defeated UIC 2-1 on Saturday, April 8, in a spring exhibition game at Folk Field in West Lafayette, Indiana.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team defeated UIC 2-1 on Saturday, April 8, in a spring exhibition game at Folk Field in West Lafayette, Indiana.
 
On a sunny afternoon, the visitors found the game's first goal, but the Boilermakers answered to tie the game at 1-1 in the first half. Purdue netted the game-winning goal and prevented another score by the Flames in the final 45 minutes.
 
The Old Gold and Black improve to 2-0-1 in the spring season with one game remaining on the schedule.
 
Purdue's exhibition slate will conclude on Saturday, April 22, against Valparaiso at 12:30 p.m. ET. The contest at Folk Field will be free and open to the public.
