Offense Powers Spring-Opening Win

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Soccer team opened its spring exhibition season with a 7-0 victory over Illinois State on Saturday afternoon at the Mollenkopf Athletic Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Soccer team opened its spring exhibition season with a 7-0 victory over Illinois State on Saturday afternoon at the Mollenkopf Athletic Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.
 
The Boilermakers scored four goals in the first half and added three more in the final 45 minutes to earn the win.
 
Following the game, former Boilermaker Lauren Sesselmann (2001-05), who is being inducted into the Leroy Keyes Purdue Athletics Hall of Fame this weekend, spoke to the team. Coach Drew Roff and the team also presented Sesselmann with a framed jersey in honor of her Hall of Fame induction.

Up next, Purdue hosts Ball State on Saturday, March 25, at 1 p.m. ET, at Folk Field. The spring will conclude with three games in April, all at home. Purdue hosts Notre Dame on Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m., followed by a matchup against UIC on Saturday, April 8, at noon. The spring concludes on Saturday, April 22, against Valparaiso at 2 p.m.
 
All four games at Folk Field will be free and open to the public.
