WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Athletics is asking fans to wear the free T-shirts they will find on their seats at Mackey Arena for Sunday's Big Ten Conference showdown against Michigan State, televised nationally on CBS at 12:15 p.m. ET. Purdue is giving out almost 15,000 free T-shirts to be placed on each seat.

The No. 1-ranked Boilermakers are 20-1 overall and 9-1 in the Big Ten Conference, while Michigan State enters with a 14-7 overall record with a 6-4 Big Ten mark.

The annual T-shirt game has received national acclaim from many media outlets as it creates a stunning visual display for a national television audience - showcasing Mackey Arena as the top college basketball venue in America. Sunday's game will be televised nationally by CBS with Spero Dedes, Bill Raftery and Jay Wright calling the game courtside at Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers' contest with Michigan State is one of just three nationally-televised games starting at noon, and is the perfect lead-in to the NFC Championship game.

All T-shirts are extra large (XL). If the shirts are too big or too small, we ask that fans come prepared wearing a white shirt. This is the first time that Purdue has opted to use a white-out for the T-shirt game. The stunning visual effect ONLY WORKS IF FANS WEAR THEIR SHIRTS.

The object of the placement of each shirt is to create a drastic visual design around the facility that will be eye-catching during the national broadcast, and to showcase Purdue basketball and Mackey Arena.

Previously, the annual T-shirt game has been held against Ohio State (twice), Wisconsin (twice), Maryland, Michigan State, Virginia, Boston College and North Carolina State. This marks the 10th straight year that fans have been allowed to attend that a T-shirt game has been held. Purdue has won eight straight T-shirt giveaway games.
