CO-DUAL MEET INFORMATION
Purdue at Missouri
Friday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. ET
Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. ET
Mizzou Aquatic Center / Columbia, Missouri
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue swimming & diving teams begins their seasons on the road for the first time since October 2017, opening with the programs' inaugural visit to the heart of the Show Me State for a two-day co-ed dual meet at Missouri.
Action is set for Friday at 5 p.m. ET and Saturday at 11 a.m. ET. Twenty-one events will be contested over the two days.
The 2017-18 season marked the last time the Boilermakers competed on the road to open a season, beginning that campaign with a co-ed dual at Miami (Ohio). Purdue hosted Missouri in November of last season as part of a co-ed triple dual that also featured Michigan. This weekend marks the return trip to complete the home-and-home.
The Boilermakers' last dual meet at a Southeastern Conference opponent's home pool was in November 2019 at Tennessee. That also marked an occasion where nearly Purdue's full rosters got to experience an aquatic center for the first time together. Other such occasions in recent years includes January 2020 at FIU, January 2021 at Wisconsin and February 2022 at Minnesota (men).
This weekend is the first of three two-day dual meets on the schedule this season. The Purdue women compete on consecutive days each of the first three weekends to begin their season, including a two-day dual at Rutgers over Halloween Weekend. The women are also back in the field for the annual two-day Big Ten Triple Duals, hosted by Northwestern the weekend of January 27 to 28 this season.
Besides the Big Ten Triple Duals, the Boilermakers most recent multi-day dual meet was in January 2015 when Purdue hosted Michigan State for a co-ed three-day dual as part of a season in which winter training was held on campus.
