MANHATTAN, Kan. – A two-game roadtrip in the state of Kansas for the Purdue soccer team concludes at Kansas State on Sunday afternoon in Manhattan, Kansas.
 
Kickoff at Buser Family Park is at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT.

The Boilermakers (2-3-0) and Wildcats (2-2-1) are both coming off road contests on Thursday. Purdue suffered a 1-0 loss at Kansas, while K-State won at Weber State, 1-0.
 
Through five games, the Boilermakers are third in the Big Ten with 4.60 saves per game and sixth with 21 points, nine assists and a .821 save percentage. Purdue has scored six goals on 50 shots, with five goals allowed and 23 saves.
 
Individually, sophomore forward Gracie Dunaway leads the Big Ten with three goals and eight points. Sophomore goalkeeper Sara Kile paces the conference with 5.50 saves per game, is second with 22 total saves and fifth with a .846 save percentage. Dunaway, junior midfielder Emily Mathews and freshman forward Kayla Budish all have a team-best two assists, which is fifth in the league.
 
SERIES HISTORY VS. KANSAS STATE
Sunday marks the second-ever meeting between Purdue and Kansas State, following a 2-0 win at Folk Field last season. The victory on September 9 was highlighted by the first collegiate goals from then-sophomore midfielder Emily Mathews and then-freshman forward Gracie Dunaway. Mathews' game-winning goal in the 26th minute was assisted by then-freshman forward Sydney Boudreau, her first career assist. Dunaway's score came in the 83rd minute.
  
As the Boilermakers held a 21-10 advantage in shots, they had eight shots on goal and held K-State to two. Mathews had a match-high six shots, four on goal, while then-freshman forward Megan Hutchinson had three shots, two on goal.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Kansas State is 2-2-1 in 2022 with a 0-1-1 mark at home. The Wildcats return to Manhattan following a 1-0 win at Weber State on Thursday night, thanks to a 44th-minute goal and the team's second clean sheet of the season. K-State has scored a single goal in all five games to begin the year, while both losses were by 2-1 margins, including in a season-opening affair at home to Northwestern.
 
K-State is fourth in the Big 12 with 15.20 shots per game and fifth with five assists. Alaina Werremeyer's two shutouts is third-most in the conference, and she is fifth with a 1.000 goals-against average and a .789 save percentage. Kyler Goins' two goals is fourth in the league and Adah Anderson's two assists are fifth.
 
LAST TIME OUT: ROAD DEFEAT
Purdue suffered a 1-0 loss at Kansas on Thursday night in Lawrence, Kansas. In an evenly-played game that saw the visitors create chances throughout the night, the Boilermakers had six shots, three on goal. The Jayhawks scored the game's only goal in the 88th minute, and their opportunities amounted to 15 shots, six on target.
 
Sophomore forward Gracie Dunaway led the team with two shots, one on goal, and four others had shots for Purdue. In goal, sophomore Sara Kile made five saves, one shy of her career high.
