WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team concluded the preseason exhibition slate with a 2-1 victory over Illinois State on Saturday afternoon at Folk Field.
The Boilermakers conclude the preseason with a 2-0-0 record, ahead of the regular season which begins on Thursday night.
The Redbirds scored the game's first goal, in the 45th minute. Purdue answered early in the second half to tie the game at 1-1. The final goal came with less than two minutes remaining, as the Boilermakers secured the 2-1 win.
Saturday's game was the preseason finale for both teams. The Boilermakers began the exhibition slate with a 5-3 win at Marquette on Wednesday.
