WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue wrestling team is set to send 10 individuals to compete for a spot on their age-group national teams this weekend as the Boilermakers head to SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio for the 2022 U20 & U23 U.S. Freestyle World Team Trials. Nine of the 10 Boilermakers will compete in the U23 division, while rising sophomore Hayden Copass earned a spot in the U20 field with his fifth-place showing at 125 kg in Las Vegas last month.
Joining Copass on the trip are classmates Dustin Norris (61 kg), Christian White (65 kg), Jaden Reynolds (70 kg), Stoney Buell (74 kg), Hayden Filipovich (92 kg) and Tristan Ruhlman (125 kg), in addition to rising juniors Christian Navida (70 kg), Trey Kruse (70 kg) and Macartney Parkinson (79 kg).
