LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Purdue track & field team travels to Louisville, Kentucky, for the Louisville Invitational on Saturday, April 16.
 
Action at Cardinal Track Stadium begins with field events at noon ET. The Boilermakers' first running event commences at 1:45 p.m., while the last event of the day is at 5 p.m.

Sixteen men and 11 women will compete on Saturday. Along host Louisville, the competition will feature Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame.
 
IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Six Boilermakers appear in the third national TFRI top-25 rankings, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Sophomore Safin Wills is No. 8 in the long jump and No. 11 in the triple jump, junior Isaiah Martin is No. 10 in the decathlon, senior Kelly Cook Jr. is No. 20 in the hammer throw, sophomore K'Ja Talley is No. 21 in the 400m hurdles and the women's 4x100 relay is No. 21.
 
In the #EventSquad rankings, the Boilermaker men are No. 5 in the long jump, while the women are No. 9 in the 100m and No. 18 in the 200m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: STRONG SHOWING IN TEXAS AND ILLINOIS
Four top-10 marks in school history were set and Purdue won eight events at a pair of meets last weekend, at the Texas A&M Team Invitational and the Illini Classic. Wills was victorious in the long jump with a top-10 mark, sophomore Kerris Roberts entered the record books in the 200m, the women's 4x100 relay posted the sixth-fastest time in school history, and sophomore Amaya King improved her shot put mark at No. 7.

NEXT UP: STAYING IN-STATE
In the penultimate meet of the regular season, the Boilermakers head south next weekend to the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana. The IU-hosted meet is set for April 22-23
