EAST LANSING, Mich. - Purdue kicked off their Big Ten Conference opener on the road against No. 60 Michigan State with a 5-2 win.
NOTES
The doubles point was an intense battle that came down to the final match for Tara Katarina Milic and Rut Galindo they stopped the Spartans pair of Nicole Stephens Ayshe Can, 6-2.
Following soon after Csilla Fodor and Nathalia Wolf Gasparin were able to seal the deal for the doubles point.
Seira Shimizu halted Charlotte Gisclon in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
Purdue went up 3-1 with a win at No. 3 singles where Tara Katarina Milic defeated Stephens in a close battle, 6-2, 7-5.
Only dropping two of the singles points, the Boilers was able to edge out a victory at No. 1, 2, 3, and 6 raising their score to 5-2.
