 The No. 3-ranked Purdue Boilermakers look to bounce back from just their fourth loss of the season, hosting Maryland on Super Bowl Sunday on CBS. The two teams have played an incredibly-competitive series as nine of the previous 11 meetings have been decided by single-digits  with five of them coming by four or fewer points. This will be the only matchup this season between the squads. 

Purdue enters with a 21-4 mark, while Maryland is 11-13. Purdue is 8-3 in quad-1 games, while Maryland is 3-7 (Florida, Northwestern, Illinois).

The contest will be televised on CBS with Spero Dedes and Clark Kellogg on the call. On the radio waves, Rob Blackman and Bobby Riddell will be courtside on the 22-station Purdue Radio Network and online on the Varsity Sports Network (app). THE NOTES TO KNOW
1) Purdue is 13-1 at home this season and since the start of last season, owns a 24-2 home record (losses to Michigan, Wisconsin). 
2) Since the 2015-16 season, Purdue is 100 games over .500 (164-64). Purdue is one of 15 teams to accomplish that (two Big Ten teams; MSU).
3) Through Friday's games, Purdue's 21 victories rank fourth nationally behind Murray State (23), Auburn (22) and South Dakota State (22). 
4) Purdue's 24-point loss to Michigan was its largest since a 63-37 setback to Illinois on Jan. 5, 2020. Since Feb. 1, 2021, Purdue had been the only team nationally without a double-digit loss. Since the 2015-16 season, Purdue has lost just three games by 20 or more points.
5) Zach Edey and Jaden Ivey were named to the Wooden Award late-season top-20 list. Ivey was tabbed one of 10 finalists for the West Award given to the nation's best shooting guard, while Edey is one of 10 finalists for the Abdul-Jabbar Award given to the nation's top center.
6) With the win over Michigan on Feb. 5, Purdue became the first Big Ten program to amass 1,000 conference victories. 
7) Purdue leads the Big Ten in scoring, field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, 3-pointers, rebound margin and assists. 
8) Purdue leads the country in offensive efficiency (125.3) and has been held under 1.00 points / possession twice (Indiana, Michigan).
9) Purdue has trailed by double-digits in four games this year (Villanova, North Carolina State, Indiana, Michigan) and won two of them.
10) Since the 2014-15 season, Purdue (101-44) is the only Big Ten program to have won 100 conference games (MSU - 98; Wisconsin - 95). 
11) In Purdue's four losses, the Boilermakers are averaging 65.0 points per game. In Purdue's 21 wins, it averages 87.0 points per game.
12) Purdue has eight players shooting at least 40.0 percent from 3-point range (min. 10 3PA). It would be the most in NCAA history.

THE SERIES WITH THE TERRAPINS
• Sunday's contest with Maryland marks just the 12th meeting all-time with Maryland with the Boilermakers holding a slim 6-5 series advantage. 
• The series has been ultra-competitive as nine of the 11 meetings have been decided by single-digits, including the last three by a total of 11 points. The margin of victory for Purdue in the four wins in Mackey Arena have been 4, 8, 2 and 3 points.
• Despite Purdue leading the series, Maryland has outscored Purdue in the 11 previous meetings by a 752 to 733 margin. 
• This will mark the 10th time in 12 meetings that at least one of the teams will be nationally-ranked in the top 25. This will be the seventh game that Purdue will play as a ranked team (3-3 record) while Maryland has also been ranked in seven games (Purdue is 3-4 vs. ranked Maryland teams). 
• Sunday's game is the ninth annual T-shirt game. The Boilermakers give out a T-shirt on every seat in Mackey Arena. Purdue is 7-1 in those games, having won seven straight games.
