LOOKING BACK AT THE GENE EDMONDS INVITATIONAL
The Gene Edmonds Invitational returns to Lambert Fieldhouse for the first time since Jan. 10-11, 2020. At that two-day, 14-team meet to begin 2020, Purdue combined to set or tie three top-10 marks in program history, win 17 events and notch a total of 26 personal records. Victories by current Boilermakers were earned by Justin Becker in the 200 and Meagan Hathaway in the mile.

LAST TIME OUT: FRED WILT OPEN
Purdue opened the 2021-22 indoor season at the Fred Wilt Open on December 4. The Boilermakers won 15 of the 21 events they competed in, with seven victories by newcomers making their collegiate or Purdue debuts. Three top-10 marks in the school record books were achieved along with eight personal-best marks by returners.

Freshman Praise Aniamaka, sophomore K'Ja Talley and senior Kelly Cook Jr. earned top-10 marks, and Talley led the team with two victories. Aniamaka won the triple jump with a mark of 15.75 meters, which ranks No. 7 in school history, and Talley's 60-hurdle time of 8.44 is eighth all-time. Cook Jr.'s weight throw mark of 20.09 meters also is No. 8. Talley's wins came in the 60-hurdles and the 300m.
