• Wednesday, Dec. 29 | West Lafayette, Indiana
• BTN | 5 PM ET | Kevin Kugler, Robbie Hummel

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. --
The No. 3-ranked Purdue Boilermakers look to end the 2021 calendar year in style when Nicholls visits Mackey Arena for the final non-conference game of the season. Purdue is 10-0 in non-conference action and are looking for an unbeaten conference mark for just the fourth time in school history. A win would give Purdue a 23-7 mark in the 2021 calendar year, the fewest calendar-year losses of the Painter era (done twice).

Purdue enters the contest with an 11-1 record while Nicholls is 8-5, having won four of its last six games after a 4-3 start.

The contest will be televised on the Big Ten Network with Kevin Kugler and Robbie Hummel on the call. On the radio waves, Rob Blackman and Bobby Riddell will be courtside on the 22-station Purdue Radio Network and online on the Varsity Sports Network (app). Live stats will be provided on StatBroadcast.com and updates will be provided on Purdue's official Twitter account (@BoilerBall).

THE NOTES TO KNOW

2) A win over Nicholls would give Purdue just its fourth season of being unbeaten in non-conference play since the 1939-40 campaign. Purdue went unbeaten in non-conference play in 2009-10 (12-0), 1993-94 (12-0) and 1992-93 (9-0).
3) Purdue is ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25 poll this week, the sixth straight week it has been ranked in the top 3. It marks the longest active streak in America and ties for the longest streak in Purdue history.
4) Purdue owns four wins against the KenPom top 40, the most in the country. Ohio State and Gonzaga are second with three wins.
5) Since the start of the 2014-15 season, Purdue is 19-6 at Mackey Arena against nationally-ranked teams.
6) Trevion Williams' stat line of 22 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals vs. North Carolina State makes him the only player in America in the last 15 years to reach those marks in a single game.
7) Purdue has outscored its opponents by 91 points at the free throw line, the second-best total in the country (Weber State +106). Purdue has made 194 free throws this year, while opponents have shot just 147.
8) Purdue has scored at least 40 points in 14 of the 24 halves played this year. It has shot at least 50.0 percent from the field in 15 halves.
