WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue wrestling team is set for a top-15 showdown this weekend as the 15th-ranked Boilermakers meet No. 13 Iowa State at Humboldt High School in Humboldt, Iowa on Sunday at 5 p.m. CT. The small, north central Iowa town is home to both Purdue head coach Tony Ersland and Cyclone head coach Kevin Dresser, who both won state championships for the Wildcats in their high school careers.
Sunday's event is sold out, and anticipates being a standing-room only crowd as 1,000 tickets were made available through a lottery system due to the intense demand. The match will be streamed live via FloWrestling.
PURDUE LINEUP & RANKINGS
The Boilermakers are ranked No. 15 in the nation for the second straight week in the NWCA Coaches Poll, marking three of the last four seasons that Purdue has held a top-15 mark for multiple weeks. Six Boilermaker individuals maintain top-25 rankings at their respective weights, highlighted by a trio marked inside the top-10.
