IN THE HUNT FOR THE BIG TEN TITLE
• Purdue has a path to the title of Big Ten Co-Champions (sharing with Nebraska) if the following occurs: Purdue wins its final two remaining matches AND Nebraska defeats Wisconsin on Friday night (OR Wisconsin loses once this weekend).
• HC Dave Shondell is looking for the first Big Ten title of his career, and the first for Purdue in 35 years. • The Boilermakers have won the Big Ten title four times, which came in a seven-year span: 1979, 1980, 1982, 1985.
A TEAM FOR THE AGES
• Purdue's seven wins over ranked opponents are the most in program history during the regular season.
• Under Shondell's guidance, Purdue's highest Big Ten finish was a tie for second-place in 2011 (29-5, 16-4 B1G).
• The Boilermakers have finished fifth in the Big Ten standings in three of the last four seasons.
• It is the fifth time in program history Purdue has reached 14 Big Ten wins: joins 1985 (17-1), 2011 (16-4), 2020 (14-6) and 1987 (14-4). Purdue will have a chance to tie for the second-most wins in a Big Ten season with a pair of victories this weekend.
• With two matches remaining, Purdue's 14 Big Ten wins are the most since 2011 (16-4).
• Purdue owns 507 block assists this season, 10th most in program history (most since 2019's 561, second all-time).
• Meanwhile, the team's .255 attack % currently ranks 10th (best since 2017's program-record .301).
