BONITA BAY, Fla. – The Purdue women's tennis team squared off with host FGCU on Saturday at the FGCU Collegiate Open at the Bonita Bay Club.
The Boilermakers played a slate of singles and doubles matches in a hidden dual format, winning the content had it been an actual dual.
In singles, Purdue picked up a trio of wins. Csilla Fodor cruised to an 8-1 win against Isabella Colmenares at the top of the order, while Carmen Gallardo Guevara swept Ida Ferding 8-0. Seira Shimizu gave Purdue its third singles win against the hosts with an 8-4 decision against Jordana Ossa.
Tara Milic and Gallardo Guevara took down Alba Retortillo and Isabella Comenares in a 6-1 decision, while Rut Galindo and Larranaga bested Lola Glanz and Fanny Norin 7-5.
