Volleyball Tabbed No. 4 in AVCA Coaches Poll

Purdue's No. 4 nod is the highest in program history.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The historic season continues for the Purdue volleyball team (10-1) after defeats versus No. 3 Ohio State (3-2) and at Indiana (3-0) led to its No. 4 national ranking in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) coaches' poll.

Purdue's No. 4 nod is the highest in program history. The recognition comes after a program-best was set earlier this month, when the Boilermakers checked in at No. 6.

Not only do the Boilermakers lead the Big Ten standings, but are the highest ranked league team in the national polls. In total, Purdue is one of four Big Ten teams in the top 10 and one of eight that are ranked or receiving votes.

The Boilermakers have been ranked for 66 consecutive weeks, the longest active streak in Purdue Athletics. Additionally, Purdue has ranked among the top-10 for 12 straight weeks, dating back to March 8, 2021).

Purdue will be back in action this weekend with a pair of matches in the friendly confines of Holloway Gymnasium. First, No. 4 Purdue will take on Illinois on Friday at 7 p.m. ET followed by Rutgers on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. Both matches can be streamed on B1G+.
