WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's basketball team will square off with West Virginia on Thanksgiving at 5 p.m. to open the Global Sports & Events St. Pete Showcase. The Boilermakers will then face either BYU or Florida State on Saturday, Nov. 27.
The two games officially round out Purdue's non-conference schedule for the 2021-22 season. The Boilermakers will open on the road Nov. 10 at Western Kentucky before making their home debut against Western Michigan on Nov. 14.
Purdue has only faced West Virginia once in history, an 89-59 victory on Dec. 30, 1990, in West Lafayette when the Boilermakers were ranked No. 4 in the nation.
Florida State won both previous matchups with the Boilermakers in 1981 and 2014, while Purdue owns a 2-0 mark against BYU with wins in 1988 and 1990.
