WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A quartet of current Purdue men's golfers all had success this past week, winning two individual titles while two others placed in the top 10 of their respective events.

The headliner was Joe Weiler's win in the Northern Amateur at Sand Creek in Chesterton, Indiana. Weiler won the event after shooting an 11-under par 205 (65-67-73), defeating Noah Gillard by three shots. Earlier in the week, Weiler won medalist honors by five shots at a US Amateur sectional qualifier and the win continues his outstanding summer. He has also finished 12th at the Monroe Invitational, tied for fifth at the Indiana Amateur, tied for third at the Northeast Amateur and 18th at the Dogwood Invitational.

He, and teammate Cole Bradley, will compete in the prestigious Western Amateur this week at Glen View Golf Club in Glenview, Illinois.

Meanwhile, Andrew Farraye took home the individual title by one shot over teammate Peyton Snoeberger at the Golfweek Purdue Amateur held at the Kampen Course. Farraye and Snoeberger were tied going into the difficult par-3 17th. Farraye would birdie the 17th and par the 18th, while Snoeberger parred both holes, giving Farraye the one-shot victory with an 8-under par 208 (73-66-69).

Herman Sekne finished tied for 10th at the Porter Cup held at Niagara Falls Country Club. Sekne fired a four-round total of 4-under par 276 (67-70-65-74) and was ultimately done in by an eight on the par-4 14th in the final round. However, the result continued his strong play this summer, finishing seventh at the Trans-Mississippi Amateur and sixth at the Golfweek Myrtle Beach Amateur.
