Alumna Ena Sabanagic Signs Pro Contract

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue soccer alumna Ena Sabanagic has signed a professional contract with HK in Kópavogur, Iceland.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue soccer alumna Ena Sabanagic has signed a professional contract with HK in Kópavogur, Iceland.
 
The club plays in Iceland's Women's Champions League.
 
A midfielder from Hanover Park, Illinois, Sabanagic graduated from Purdue in May, 2020, with a degree in selling & sales management. She was a four-year letterwinner and earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades as a sophomore in 2017.

Sabanagic played in 61 career matches with four starts as a Boilermaker. She scored five goals, had one assist and registered 42 shots and 19 shots on goal in 1,730 minutes. Sabanagic netted two game-winning goals, both against top-25 foes. The first came in a 2-1 victory against No. 24 Louisville in 2018, while the second was at top-seeded and No. 7-ranked Wisconsin in a 1-0 triumph at the 2019 Big Ten Tournament.
 
Prior to signing with HK, Sabanagic played for the Chicago Kics of United Women's Soccer.
