WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Rising junior Kan Bunnabodee took home the top honors at the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifier at Oak Grove Golf Club in Harvard, Illinois this week. Carding a 5-under 66 on the day, she won the event by two strokes over Wake Forest's Caroline Smith and Northwestern's Kelly Sims. Bunnabodee's victory advances her 2021 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York, on Aug. 2-8.

Bunnabodee posted a flawless round, birding the fourth, seventh, eighth, 10th and 15th holes while playing bogey-free on the day.
 
Purdue teammates Sifat Sagoo and Danielle du Toit also took part in the qualifier, but failed to advance. Du Toit posted a 1-under 70 to narrowly miss the cut.
