WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – In the final week of the regular season, Purdue softball (15-25) will travel to Wisconsin (17-19) for its final four games.

The Boilermakers won seven of the last 12 games, including a split series last weekend against Northwestern and a series win vs. Ohio State (3-1) the week prior. Meanwhile Wisconsin split last weekend at Michigan State won 10 of its last 13 games.

The Boilermakers are led by junior shortstop Rachel Becker, who in addition to leading the team in 11 statistical categories, ranks among the nation's top 10 with a .469 batting average (9th in the nation), 16 doubles (10th in the nation) and 0.40 doubles per game (10th in the nation).
 
NOTES:
  • Freshman Kiley Goff owns 17 walks this season, good for second on the team 10th among all league batters.
  •  Defensively, Purdue is among the top with a fielding percentage of .971, good for 48th in the nation.
  • Senior outfielder Ryleigh Scott holds a perfect 1.000 fielding %. Last weekend on Senior Day, her over-the-shoulder catch in the seventh inning in Purdue's 1-0 shutout over Northwestern made SC Top 10, checking in at No. 6.
  • Pitcher Ashley Peters led Purdue to its fourth shutout of the season and her second complete-game shutout of 2021 vs. Northwestern (5/8).
  • Infielder Becca Jones is on a five-game hitting streak.
  • Becker has reached base in 13 consecutive games, the longest active streak on the team.
  • Freshman Kaitlyn Brannstrom's 26 RBI are the 9th-most by a Big Ten player this season. She is one of only three freshmen in the league to put up as many (Denali Loecker, Nebraska and Billie Andrews, Iowa).
  • Junior shortstop Rachel Becker leads the team in 11 categories including: runs, hits, batting average, games started and slugging percentage. Nationally, she ranks in the top 10 in three categories: 9th in batting average (.469) and 10th in doubles (16) and doubles per game (.40).
