WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The penultimate weekend of Purdue softball (13-23) is slated to take place this Friday and Saturday with a pair of doubleheaders against Northwestern (24-12) at Bittinger Stadium.
The four-game series, originally scheduled for Friday through Sunday, was shifted to avoid the rain forecasted for Sunday. Friday evening's 5:30 p.m. ET game will air on Big Ten Network. The remaining games will be streamed on BTN+.
The weekend will serve as a celebration for the program as well, with a team awards ceremony following the 5:30 p.m. ET game on Friday. Meanwhile on Saturday, Purdue will honor seniors Sydney Bates and Ryleigh Scott on Senior Day following the 6:30 p.m. ET game.
The Boilermakers are coming off a series win over Ohio State, in which it took the final three games in the series to win, 3-1. With the results, Purdue has won four of its last six games.
Tickets are available for Purdue's last home weekend of the season with Bittinger Stadium at 50% capacity. Single-game tickets are $5 for fans 13 and older. Click here to learn more.

- Rachel Becker, in addition to topping the charts in four Big Ten categories, ranks No. 5 in the nation with 16 doubles, No. 7 in doubles per game (.44), No. 10 in batting average (.483), No. 23 in on-base % (.548) and No. 33 in hits (56).
- Three Boilermakers are batting over .300: Becker, Rylee Platusic (.341), Cora Bassett (.311) and Kiley Goff (.310).
- The Boilermakers rank third in the Big Ten in three categories: double plays per game, doubles and doubles per game.
- Becker has scored in six of the last seven games.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Brannstrom set a career-high four RBI in the 7-6 (8 IN) victory over Ohio State (5/1).
- Freshman Kiley Goff is second on the team with 16 walks and is riding a five-game hitting streak.
- The Boilermakers have tallied seven or more hits in each of its last three games.
- No Boilermaker struck out in its final game vs. Ohio State (5/2), marking the first time this season the team has accomplished the feat (last: 2/16/20 vs. Central Michigan).
- Pitcher Sydney Bates went 2-0 last weekend weekend, appearing in all three victories for a combined 11.1 innings of work.
- Becker has reached base in nine consecutive games, meanwhile Brannstrom is riding a seven game streak.
