WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team begins its push toward a possible postseason berth this weekend when it hosts the Boilermaker Invitational at the Kampen Course.
Fifteen teams will descend on West Lafayette, highlighted by eight Big Ten teams in a preview of the Big Ten Championships coming later this month at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday, followed by 18 holes on Sunday on the par-72, 7,405-yard layout. The first tee times each day will be at 8 a.m. ET.

The Kampen Course is rated one of the top collegiate courses in the nation and has been awarded 4.5 stars on Golf Digest's "Places to Play." Kampen receives high marks, being ranked as one of the most difficult golf courses in Indiana. The course has also played host to a number of prestigious collegiate and public tournaments such as the 2000 Men's Big Ten Championship, the 2003 Women's NCAA Championship, the 2004 Indiana Open, the 2005 Women's Western Amateur, and the 2008 Men's NCAA Championship, the 2017 NCAA Men's Regional Championship and is slated to host a 2024 NCAA Men's Regional.

This year's event marks the 17th year of the Boilermaker Invitational. The Boilermakers have won the event twice (2004, 2011) and finished in the top three in 10 of 16 previous tournaments. Illinois leads the way with four team titles in 11 appearances, while Kent State has three titles in 10 trips.
