WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Heading into its final home match and penultimate match of the year, the Purdue women's tennis team returns to the Schwartz Tennis Center to face Illinois this Sunday for Senior Day.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Heading into its final home match and penultimate match of the year, the Purdue women's tennis team returns to the Schwartz Tennis Center to face Illinois this Sunday for Senior Day.

The Boilermakers will honor seniors Zala Dovnik and Ena Babic and thank them for their contributions and dedication to the program during their careers.

Matches will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Up to 100 people are allowed to watch the contests at the Schwartz Tennis Center, as long as fans observe mask wearing, social distancing guidelines and other Protect Purdue standards.

Babic and Dovnik will grace the courts of the Schwartz Tennis Center for the final time of their careers. The duo, whose hometowns in Croatia and Slovenia are an hour apart, set foot in West Lafayette for the first time in 2017-18.

Babic, a 2020 First Team All-Big Ten honoree, is 54-51 in her overall singles career and 39-34 in duals, including a 15-13 mark at No. 1 with five wins over ranked opponents. She is 11-6 in her career at No. 1 in doubles with a 9-3 mark this season with partner Csilla Fodor.

Dovnik has a 47-47 overall singles record and 31-34 in dual action. Over the course of her career, the Slovenian international has 24 combined wins between No. 5 and 6. She has a 9-9 mark in doubles this spring. Dovnik was named the Big Ten Sportsmanship winner for Purdue in 2020.

BOILER NOTES
• Purdue enters the weekend winners of two of its last three matches.
• Fodor improved to 7-3 in singles duals and 11-5 overall with her win at Michigan last weekend.
• The Boilermakers have won six doubles points this season.
• After a narrow 4-3 defeat earlier this season, Illinois took a 32-31 series lead.
• Purdue has taken at least one set in doubles play in nine contests.
