Bray’s Top-10 Mark Highlights Day One

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore Jessica Bray earned a top-10 mark in school history in the pole vault to begin the outdoor season for the Purdue track & field team on the opening day of the Big Ten Indiana Invitational No. 1 on Friday evening in Bloomington, Indiana.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore Jessica Bray earned a top-10 mark in school history in the pole vault to begin the outdoor season for the Purdue track & field team on the opening day of the Big Ten Indiana Invitational No. 1 on Friday evening in Bloomington, Indiana.
 
Bray earned a jump of 4.00 meters, which is tied for No. 8 in the Purdue record books, and placed fourth in the event. Junior Tessa Sheets also earned a jump of 4.00, just shy of her personal-best mark of 4.02 meters.
 
In the high jump, freshman My'Khiyah Williams was third overall with a jump of 1.66 meters to lead the way for the Boilermakers.
 
The meet continues tomorrow, as competition starts at 11 a.m. ET, with the women's hammer and men's javelin to open the day.
