SUNSET, S.C. – Due to a forecast of rain and thunderstorms for Saturday and Sunday, the women's golf team played 27 holes at the Clemson Invitational on Friday. Playing at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, the Boilermakers are 11th in the team standings at the halfway point of the tournament, shooting a combined 19-over par 451.
Individually, sophomore Sifat Sagoo is tied for 19th in the player standings, recording a 27-hole, 2-over 110 (71+39=110). Sagoo finished the opening 18 holes with a 1-under 71.
Junior Danielle du Toit rallied over the final nine holes of the day to card a 1-under 35 after posting a 5-over 77 in the opening 18 holes. She sits tied for 34th in the individual standings at the midpoint of the event (77+35=112).
Kent State leads the tournament as a team with a 4-under 428. Individually, the Golden Flashes' Caley McGinty paces the field with a 6-under 102.
