Outdoor Track & Field Schedule Announced

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Featuring nine regular-season meets and an extended championship season, the Purdue outdoor track & field schedule has been unveiled.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Featuring nine regular-season meets and an extended championship season, the Purdue outdoor track & field schedule has been unveiled.
 
The Boilermakers begin competition this weekend, and the season continues through the Big Ten Championships, NCAA East Regionals and NCAA Championships. The outdoor season will culminate with the Olympic Team Trials and 2020 Olympic Games.
 
After the 2020 outdoor season was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Purdue returns to the outdoor track for the first time as a team since June, 2019. The 2021 season will feature competition solely against Big Ten opponents.
 
The campaign begins at the Big Ten Indiana Invitational #1 in Bloomington, Indiana, from March 26-27. The following weekend, from April 2-3, the Boilermakers travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for the Big Ten North Florida Hawkeye Invitational. Purdue returns to IU for the Big Ten Indiana Invitational #2 from April 9-10.
 
The squad will compete at two meets from April 16-17, with Boilermakers at the Husker Big Ten Invitational in Houston and at the Big Ten Indiana Invitational #3 in Bloomington.
 
The Big Ten Relays are up next, from April 23-24 in Champaign, Illinois. Purdue will compete at the Jesse Owens Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, from April 30-May 1, and at the Big Ten Indiana Invitational #4 on May 1.
 
The regular season concludes with the Big Ten Indiana Invitational #5 on May 8 at Indiana.
 
Championship competition commences at the Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 14-16. Illinois will host this year's event in Champaign.
 
The Boilermakers will compete at the NCAA East Regionals, which will be held in Jacksonville from May 27-29.
 
The NCAA season concludes with the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which return to Eugene, Oregon, from June 9-12.
 
Ahead of the 2020 Summer Olympics from July 23-August 8 in Tokyo, Japan, the Olympic Trials are set for June 18-27. The U.S. team trials will be held in Eugene, and the Bahamas and Jamaica team trials also will take place from June 18-27.
