WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Athletics has announced the baseball program will host its annual First Pitch season preview virtually this year, with the video-based event set for Wednesday, March 3, at 7 p.m. ET.
The video presentation will preview the 2021 season and introduce the current roster. The program's community service and alumnus of the year awards will also be presented.
"In this time of social distancing and limitations on the number of attendees at an event, it is more important than ever we find ways to stay connected with our fans," head coach Greg Goff said. "By hosting the First Pitch preview as a live event, we're able to share the excitement buzzing through our program about the upcoming season while ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all those involved."
