Women's Golf 9th at Inaugural ARLTWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate

SARASOTA, Fla. – The women's golf team is in ninth place after the opening round of the inaugural ARTLWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate. The Boilermakers shot a combined 9-over par 297 in the first 18 holes. The event, hosted by Purdue, is taking place at The Founders Golf Club in Sarasota, Florida.

SARASOTA, Fla. – The women's golf team is in ninth place after the opening round of the inaugural ARTLWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate. The Boilermakers shot a combined 9-over par 297 in the first 18 holes. The event, hosted by Purdue, is taking place at The Founders Golf Club in Sarasota, Florida.
 
Individually, sophomore Kan Bunnabodee led the way for the Boilers, opening the tournament with an even-par 72 Sunday. She offset three bogeys with a trio of birdies and enters the second round tied for 10th in the player standings.
 
Junior Danielle du Toit posted a 2-over 74 Sunday and is tied for 24th in the individual standings. Classmate Thitapa Pakdeesettakul is one stroke behind, finishing the first round with a 3-over 75, which is tied for 28th amongst the field.
 
Senior Inez Wanamarta and sophomore Sifat Sagoo rounded out the scoring for the Boilermakers, with each posting 4-over 76s.
 
Mississippi leads the tournament as team after Sunday, combining to shoot a 4-under 284. Individually, Oklahoma State's Maja Stark shot a 6-under 66 to lead the field.
 
The Boilermakers and the other 14 schools in the field will tee off Monday at 8 a.m. in a shotgun start. Purdue will begin the round on holes 8-10. The first-year event concludes Tuesday.
