ANN ARBOR, Mich. – After the announcement that the University of Michigan Athletic Department will immediately pause athletic activities for all sports, the women's basketball game between Purdue and Michigan at the Crisler Center has been postponed.
The postponement came as a result of a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services mandate issued Saturday night following positive tests for the SAR-CoV-2 B.1.1.7 variant virus infections from several individuals linked to the U-M Athletic Department.
Purdue and Michigan will work with the Big Ten Conference to explore future dates to make up the game.
The Boilermakers will next travel to Minnesota on Jan. 28 for a 5 p.m. ET tip against the Golden Gophers.
