Faust, who broke the program record in the 400-meter dash, was one of two Boilermakers to record marks that rank in the top-10 in team history. He was joined by sophomore pole vaulter Jessica Bray, whose jump is tied for fourth-best in the Purdue record books.
Ten Boilermakers, including Faust and Bray, notched top-five finishes at Vanderbilt's Multipurpose Facility and nine earned personal-best marks. At the two-day meet, Purdue recorded four top-10 scores in team history, registered 19 top-five finishes and earned 19 personal-record totals.
"This was a really good meet for us," Purdue coach Norbert Elliott said. "This was a meet that allowed some of our kids to be able to run a couple of rounds, and sometimes you need that. You need to be able to run those rounds to correct the mistakes that you made in the prelims. If you just have one race, it takes a week before you get to run again. Whenever we can run in competition and make the finals and run again, you're able to correct the errors almost immediately while it's fresh on your mind. Overall, this was a good meet. I was particularly pleased with our women, they've kind of been struggling all season long, and today was a good solid day for them. They put together some good performances."
Faust's school record came in the 400-meter dash, where he won the event in 46.58 seconds. That bested his previous record of 46.68, which he set last weekend to also break his own school record. Faust's other program-record time in the past eight days came in the 600-meter run on Feb. 7.
Bray placed second overall and first among collegiate competitors in the pole vault with a personal-best jump of 4.16 meters. Tied for No. 4 in team history, Bray eclipsed her mark of 4.11 meters set last weekend, which was No. 5 in the Purdue record books.
Senior Samson Colebrooke and junior Tamar Greene joined Faust with wins on Saturday. Colebrooke claimed the victory in the finals of the 60-meter dash, in 6.70 seconds. It was his second win of the weekend after he came in first in the 200-meter on Friday night.
Greene's triple jump win was thanks to a mark of 15.85 meters. Senior Jah Strange placed fourth in the event, with a jump of 14.98 meters.
Colebrooke was one of six Boilermakers, three men and three women, to make the 60-meter finals. Junior Waseem Williams was third in the final, in 6.81 seconds, and sophomore Noah McBride placed seventh, in 6.95.
For the women, freshman Kerris Roberts finished second overall in 7.52 seconds. Sophomore Vivette Green ran a personal-best time of 7.54 seconds in the prelims and was sixth in the finals, while senior Sekayi Bracey was seventh in the finals with a time of 7.57 seconds.
Junior Jalil Brewer earned a third-place finish in the shot put, thanks to a throw of 19.07 meters.
In the 60-meter hurdle final, it was sophomore Dainon Wray who finished in fourth place, in 8.11 seconds. Additionally, sophomore Isaiah Martin advanced to the finals in the event and was sixth in 8.14 seconds, a new personal-best time. For the women, senior Rebecca Coan earned a PR as she finished in 8.93 seconds.

In the 800-meter competition, freshman Johann Matzal also collected a PR, in 1:56.14.
The Music City Challenge concluded with the 4x400 relay. The men earned the victory in 3:10.92, and the women were second, in 3:42.13.
The Purdue distance runners competed at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, this weekend. Freshman Ellie Tate was the lone Boilermaker to run today, and she earned a personal-best time of 4:51.18 in the mile.
Yesterday's opening night of competition was highlighted by Roberts and sophomore Camille Christopher, who ran the fifth and ninth-fastest 200-meter dash times in program history, respectively, and sophomore Bailey McIntire, who notched the ninth-fastest 5,000-meter time in team history.
