Dec. 9 Update: The Purdue-Indiana football game Saturday in Bloomington has been canceled via a mutual agreement between both universities.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Start times have been announced for Purdue's in-state doubleheader Saturday vs. Indiana on the gridiron and Indiana State on the hardwood.
Football's regular-season finale is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Bloomington. Basketball's home game with the Sycamores is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET. The Big Ten Network will televise both games live, with streaming via the Fox Sports app and website.
The Old Oaken Bucket rivalry series with IU dates back to 1891, with the Bucket being introduced to the annual game in 1925. Purdue was victorious 28-21 in its last trip to Bloomington in November 2018. This year marks the first time since 1905 the game will not be played in the month of November.
The basketball series with Indiana State dates back to 1902. However, Saturday is the first regular-season meeting in Mackey Arena since December 2008. The Sycamores did pay a visit for a special preseason exhibition game in October 2017.
Additionally, the Big Ten conference office announced more start times late last week for many of basketball's December games. Television assignments have also been unveiled for much of the Big Ten season. Full listings are available on the schedule page. Both start times and TV assignments are subject to change.
Purdue women's basketball also has a pair of television games this month as the BTN added games on Thursday, Dec. 17 vs. Northwestern (7 p.m.) and Sunday, Dec. 20 at Penn State (2 p.m. ET) to its schedule.
