WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's basketball head coach Sharon Versyp announced Wednesday that Tamara Farquhar, Kayana Traylor and Fatou Diagne will serve as captains for the 2020-21 season.
The trio mark the 87th, 88th and 89th captains in Purdue history. After serving as a captain for the 2019-20 season, Farquhar is the 20th player in program history to earn the captaincy multiple times in a career.
The record for most seasons as a captain is a tie between FahKara Malone, Drey Mingo and Carol Emmanuel.
The Boilermakers will open the 2020-21 campaign Sunday night against North Alabama at Mackey Arena at 6 p.m.
