WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's tennis junior Ena Babic was named to the Big Ten All-Conference team Wednesday afternoon, the first conference honor of her career.

Babic powered the Boilermakers at the top of the lineup with a 7-5 mark in the spring at No. 1. The Cakovec, Croatia, native downed No. 70 Kaitlin Staines from No. 20 Tennessee, and No. 84 Martina Okalova from Tulsa in dual action. In doubles action, Babic was 7-5 in the spring, posting a 5-3 record with Alex Sabe at No. 3.

The junior helped the Boilermakers crack the ORACLE/ITA team rankings to No. 44 in February. Babic made it three straight all-conference selections for Purdue, following back-to-back picks for Silvia Ambrosio in 2018 and 2019.

For the second straight season, Zala Dovnik was named the Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree. The Slovenian international was named the Ohio Valley Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award winner earlier in the week.
