WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Miles Simington is the player guest on episode 5 of This Week in Purdue Baseball, the program's web series and podcast featuring head coach Greg Goff.
Simington did it all in Sunday's win at Western Kentucky, doubling twice and scoring three times. The junior showcased his all-around skill set with a nice running catch in right center field and an outfield assist in the same inning, throwing out a runner at the plate. During the season-opening weekend, Simington hit the first grand slam by a Boilermaker since April 2017. Player guests are featured in segment 2 of the weekly show.
Goff recaps WKU series, highlighted by the nine-run first inning Sunday that helped snap Purdue's six-game losing streak. He again salutes Jett Jackson, who continues to excel as Purdue's Sunday starter.The first-year head coach also looks ahead to the Evansville series and Big Ten play.
