The Boilermakers will look to bounce back from a doubleheader split last weekend in non-conference action. Athell Bennett continued his surge with his seventh straight victory in singles action. The senior dropped a few spots in the national rankings to No. 24 in the recent ORACLE/ITA polls.

Purdue will be without the services of Franz Luna and Julian Saborio due to Davis Cup duties for Guatemala and Costa Rica, respectively. Both nations are competing in the World Group II Play-offs First Round that will end Saturday night. Guatemala is up against Tunisia, while Costa Rica is facing Bulgaria.

Despite a 3-6 record on the year, the Fighting Illini are ranked No. 47 in the nation in last week's ORACLE/ITA poll. Illinois picked up wins over Notre Dame, Chicago State and Texas State. The majority of their losses have come against top-25 opposition. Illinois will face Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., on Saturday before the match on Sunday.
