WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – 
The women's golf team will head to The Woodlands, Texas for the ICON Invitational on Feb. 24-25. The 54-hole, two-day event will take place at The Woodlands Country Club.
 
The Boilermakers are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Freshman Sifat Sagoo recorded her first career top 10 finish, tying for eighth in the individual standings, while sophomore Danielle du Toit tallied her seventh career top 20 finish after tying for 19th.
 
The 14-team field at the Icon Invitational has four schools in the top 25 of the latest Golfstat.com rankings, including No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Kent State.

THE COURSE
The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course will play host to the Icon Invitational, playing 6,392 yards and par 72. Designed by Robert von Hagge, the Tournament Course is the annual home of The Insperity Invitational on the PGA Champions Tour.

PURDUE AT THE ICON INVITATIONAL
Originally named The Dickson, Houston has hosted the Icon Invitational each year since 2017 with Purdue taking part each time. The Boilermakers finished seventh in the inaugural event and second in both 2018 and 2019. Last season, the Boilers collectively shot an 11-over par 875 over 54 holes to finish three strokes behind first-place Houston. Wanamarta finished tied for sixth in the individual standings with an even-par 216. She shot a 4-under par 68 in the third and final round.
