LPR Classic Second Round Results
RIO GRANDE, P.R. – Sifat Sagoo's hole-in-one on the par-3 10th highlighted the Boilermakers' second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Monday. The freshman aced the 177-yard hole en route to a 2-over 74 for the day and a 36-hole total of 2-under par 142, which is tied for fifth individually.
Sagoo, who shot 4-under par Sunday, trails leaders Alyssa Montgomery of Virginia Tech and Irene Kim of Northwestern by two strokes heading into the third and final round Tuesday.
A day after posting an even-par 288, the Boilermakers carded an 8-over par 296 Monday for a two-round tally of 584. Purdue is tied for fourth in the team standings with Northwestern, merely five strokes behind tournament leader Texas Tech (+3, 579). The Red Raiders were the only team to shoot par or better Monday, finishing 5-under at 283, which tied for the second-lowest team round in the 18-year history of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Freshman Kan Bunnabodee and junior Inez Wanamarta finished 2-over par 74 for a second consecutive day. They, along with senior Micaela Farah, are tied for 24th individually with a two-round total of 4-over par 148.
